Svenska is the name of the first private Swedish language course in Seoul. We are offering classes from level A1 to B2 (beginner to high intermediate).

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACCOMMODATED PER CLASS?
Each class will have max 15 students and we are utilizing the Cappelen’s “På Vei” and “Stein på Stein” book sets as our primary teaching material. Please contact us if you need assistance with ordering.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
The courses are intensive and there will be given adequate homework for the students to reach the required competency of the beginner and intermediate levels.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER CLASS?
At the end of each level we will administer a level test before taking registrations for the next level.
DO YOU ISSUE CERTIFICATE OF DIPLOMAS?
We do not issue any kind of diploma or certification, the only valid certificate of Norwegian proficiency is your test result from the official language tests held by Skills Norway or Bergenstesten held by Folkeuniversitetet. Both tests are only held in Norway at specific time
WHAT ARE REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS DURING THE ONLINE CLASS?
We highly suggest using a laptop or a tablet with a stable internet connection for the online class (minimum 1.5 Mbps up and down). We are using the Zoom platform for facilitating the lessons, details on how to install and use the platform will be sent to you once you register
PRICING
Refund Policy: Registration fee is non-refundable, remainder of course fee is refundable dependent on remaining classes minus 700 PHP in cancellation fee.
A1 CLASS
Beginner- 3,000 PHP registration fee cover learning materials.
- First day of class, remaining balance of 11,000 PHP to be paid after first class.
A2 CLASS
Intermediate- Tuition fee of 11,000 PHP to be paid in full before first class.

TEACHERS
Tobias Kjellgren
39 years old from Sölvesborg, Sweden. Lived in the Philippines for 5 years. Studied Informatics for his bachelors at Lunds University. Has many years of experience from a vast variety of fields in Sweden, and is currently working with IT support solutions Has previous teaching experience from Swedish public schools, training of new employees and company academy work. Enjoys music, sports and outdoor activities on his spare time
Hanna Jensen
26 years old from Åland, Sweden. Lived in Korea for 4 years, currently taking a B.A in Business Administration at Hanyang University. Completed Korean language studies level 7 at Sogang University and has extensive experience in teaching Swedish. Worked as a private Swedish tutor for 3 years in Korea, elementary school teacher in Finland for a semester and been assisting Voice In as a Swedish language expert on various voice reckognition projects. Hanna also enjoys volunteering and has worked for CARE, an adoption center for dogs and cats in Korea.
Erik Jäfvert
28 years old from Gävle, Sweden. Lived in the Philippines for the last 5 years and is an avid language learner. Has previous experience from working within the public school system in Sweden. During his spare time he enjoys sports, music and exploration.
Curriculum
Svenska the language course is based on the ”Common European Framework of Reference for Languages” and teaching methods from the Official Adult Learning Centre in Sweden. Classes will primarily be held in English and Swedish.
We should also be well within the recommended hours to achieve beginner level proficiency, which is 60-80 hours (homework included) per level. This estimation of time does not take the category of the students in consideration. Korean students would mostly fall within what we define as track 3, students with a higher level of education and previous experiences in learning other languages, and progress is estimated to surpass the general recommended hours.
For those of you who are registering for level A1, no previous knowledge of Swedish is required, A1 is aimed at complete beginners. TUTORING
We also offer 1-on-1 and pair tutoring to those of you who do not have the opportunity to attend our classes. Estimated time to complete the first level doing tutoring is 15 – 20 hours. There will also be more focus on pronunciation and conversation, utilizing more varied teaching material. We can also customize the material dependant on the student`s needs and wishes.
